Baudwick

A fast terminal that keeps your sessions running.

For macOS, Linux and Windows. It behaves exactly like the terminal you know, keeps your shells alive when the window closes, shows every command as a block you can work with, and is a good home for coding agents. AI is there if you want it, off until you turn it on.

Baudwick on macOS: a shell with command blocks beside Neovim, and a coding agent's tab waiting for you

It never breaks your shell

Your prompt is drawn exactly as your shell draws it: Powerlevel10k, Starship, Oh My Posh, Clink and the rest. Every key Baudwick doesn't use reaches your program unchanged, so tmux, Neovim and SSH work as they always have.

Sessions outlive the window

Quit, crash or update the app and your shells keep running. Open Baudwick again and every window, tab and split comes back where it was.

Commands are blocks

Each command gets its exit status, duration and time. Jump between commands, copy one or its output, run it again, collapse long output, or scrub back with Instant Replay.

A home for coding agents

Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI run as anywhere else, and Baudwick shows which one needs you, with notifications, progress and the Agents panel.

Your other computers

Open a tab on a server or your other computer through your own ssh; the session keeps running there when you close the window. One other computer is free; Pro reaches any number.

Private by default

No account, no telemetry. AI features use your own key or a local model, and stay off until you turn them on.
